Welcome to Canadian Muslim Fellowship of Scouting!

The Muslim Communities Initiative of Scouts Canada is a high value, critical project in the Muslim communities of the Greater Toronto Area and across Canada. Our Muslim communities are searching for viable programs to help children and youth to cultivate enduring values that will last a lifetime. We are seeking an antidote to the influence of the conveyors of extremist ideology on the Internet where our youth spend more and more time. At the same time we see the consequences of nature deficit disorder without understanding the cause.

The Canadian Fellowship of Muslim Scouts is being developed to support and promote the Muslim Communities Initiative and Scouts Canada Programs. It is an auxiliary and booster organization designed to attract human and financial resources in support of the Initiative, to identify Muslims that have Scouting experience in Canada or globally, and to provide fellowship and service opportunities for its members.

Its website, www.cmfos.ca, is designed to provide a portal for Muslim communities, organizations, families and individuals to develop an understanding of Scouting program opportunities for Muslims available within the Scouts Canada movement; to provide a source of information and resources for Muslim and non-Muslim Scouts and Scouters; and for the Muslim communities of Canada to have a window on the global world of Muslim Scouting.

The Muslim Community Initiative has eight allied Groups and approximately 350 Scouts Canada members.
